It’s normal to feel unsure about therapy, especially if you come from a culture where mental health is stigmatized. I think that mental health, and therapy, have come a long way, and thinking about getting help is already a step in reducing that stigma. Sometimes people also think that going to therapy is “weak”, however, its quiet the opposite if you are trying to heal and change; you have skills of inner-strength and self-awareness in my personal opinion.

I am here to listen to you in a confidential and judgement free manner, because everyone deserves a space to just feel themselves. People would say I am personable, playful and have a dash millennial humor. Sometimes people ask “what makes you different than talking to my friend etc?” Well, I won’t be replacing your bestie, but I do have years of training to help help you gain a different perspective and skills without the bias of family/friends. I also use a variety of techniques besides “talk” therapy, such as art therapy, sand tray and somatic techniques that might be helpful if “talking” is not really your thing.

The best way to find out if therapy is the right fit for you is to schedule a free consultation call where you can ask questions, share a little about yourself and what you're hoping to get from therapy, and ultimately see if it feels right for you. I can’t tell you how long therapy will take because everyone comes with different issues, and we use different approaches to meet your goals. It’s ultimately up to YOU, because some people need long-term support and others need short-term approach.

Finding the right therapist is SO important, the basis on our work together will be through human connection. Sometimes people “don’t like therapy” because for too long, the system of how “therapy” has been done has not worked for everyone. I am here to tell you that it can be different, and I hope you give it a chance. And, if after the call you feel like something wasn't clicking for you, that's okay too! I'll even help to get you connected with another therapist.
